Attorney Paul Bernstein is newly Board-certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS) by the Estate Planning Law Specialist Board, Inc., the only such certification accredited by the American Bar Association. Attorney Bernstein joins a select group of 75 attorneys nationwide, and is one of only two in Massachusetts, to have obtained the EPLS Board-certification.
To become Board-certified as an Estate Planning Law Specialist (ELPS), an attorney must pass a comprehensive examination in estate planning law, have devoted a significant part of his or her practice to estate planning for a minimum of five years, have received recommendations from five colleagues and have taken a substantial amount of continuing legal education relating to estate planning over the previous three years.
Attorney Bernstein is past-Chairman and current board member of the Massachusetts Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, Inc., former board member and current member of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and former board member and current member of the Essex County Estate Planning Council.
